On a nameless day, when the cold breeze blows slow, she rides. Faithful Steed, a stallion pure as snow, thunders though the water. Her name a mystery, forgotten legends of long ago, but deeds of bravely so bold. Holy knight, Paladin of codes, the honoured of gods.

What was her name you ask me? A name i cannot tell...

The Storyteller

My valkyrie, a paladin I played a long time ago, when I was first getting into D&D. SO long ago, in fact, that I no longer remember her name. I drew this one while staying at a boyfriend's house and fell asleep in the hammock working on the original sketch. Pardon the less than perfect nature of the coloring, one day maybe I'll do this justice in another medium. for now, here she is! Hope you enjoy.

:-) Sandra Leigh Wagner replies: "Oh, my god. You ARE good! A storyteller too! That is beautiful. DO you mind if I use that for the pic description? and here I was starting to think no one liked her. Wow, Thanks! (though it was supposed to be a feild of wheat, but I don't care!) Now I'm DEFINATELY going to bekeeping an eye on you! On your site! Thanks again"

This a wonderful picture. Everything is flowing like it should with the wind and movement. The positioning is very well done. My only complaint is the woman lacks expression;I'm not sure if you meant for it to be that way or not. If you did then it was well executed.

:-) Sandra Leigh Wagner replies: "I kinda wanted her a little stoic. But on the other hand, if you see the same character in the gifting of the stone horse, her face is REALLY flat and out of whack, so it isn't just that. This was very early in my work so I've evolved since then. Maybe one day.... Ah, but there is no time. (And dummy here wants another kid?)"

AHHHHH!!! VALKYRIEEEE!! I LOOOOOVE VALKYRIEEEES!!! This is GORGEOUS!!! The horse's musculature is MOST impressive.. I could sit here and stare at that for hours!!

:-) Sandra Leigh Wagner replies: "lol If I remember correctly I fell asleep staring at him myself when I finished him. Boyfriend found me asleep in the hammock when he came home! Pencil still firmly gripped in hand"

WOW. Sorry, but that's all I can say. *Walks away with a dazed expression on her face*

:-) Sandra Leigh Wagner replies: "lol thanks. this one is a decade or more old."

WOW!!! great details! the wind, the hair (in the wind), i'll go on, but my time is getting limited, the sword (i think) is the best one i've ever seen!

:-) Sandra Leigh Wagner replies: "thanks. and to think I was about to take this one down. Why is it that my less than great one (in my eyes) get all the comments and the ones I think are mod worthy are ignored by all but a few?"

A beautiful Valkyrie you have there.

:-) Sandra Leigh Wagner replies: "thank you. for the time in my life when I drew her, she was very good. I can do better now, but haven't and I think I may have lost hte original. I have a whole portfolio of stuff missing from one of many moves. sigh. Thank you!"
