SciFi and Fantasy Art: Death's Guardian

Part of my 'Death Becomes Her' series starring Alivette, a priestess of Jas, a goddess of Death who guards the gate between the living and the dead. Here manifesting the flaming skull which is the symbol of her Goddess.

She is nothing if not zealous in her charge. Desecrate the sanctity of the tombs at your peril. And woe betide you if you are getting up from your grave with out the goddess's leave!

I think it might be my favourite picture in the 'Death Becomes Her' series, although I really like the first one, too, so it's hard to choose! Sandra Leigh Wagner replies: "thanks. I may be adding more to this series. I've just started a 'god campaign' with some friends and I've decided to revive her as a goddess of Death and Judgement. I'll post the new pics sometime."
